White Man's Burden
Category: Everyday it rains

Chris Burden, a famous contemporary artist from the 70s (best known for a piece in which he essentially crucified himself on a Volkswagen Bug) has become the latest victim of the Stanford Ponzi scheme. The Gagosian Gallery was planning on displaying his latest work called One Ton One Kilo which was 100 kilos of... gold bricks. Do you see where this is going yet?

Gagosian bought the gold from Stanford Coins and Bullion which is a subsidiary of... Can you guess it? Exactly! The Stanford Financial Group! What a small world! Anyway, as you can imagine, those gold bricks ain't travelin' nowhere while there's an SEC investigation under way. These corrupt financial schemes really have a way of ruining all the fun.
